Joshua R. Carey

Joshua Carey is a dedicated Licensed Social Worker and Therapist with a Master’s of Social Work from Aurora University. With over five years in the social work field, Joshua has extensive experience in counseling individuals struggling with mental health issues, including substance abuse, PTSD, autism, and behavioral health concerns. He currently works at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, where he supports clients dealing with chemical dependency, psychosis, depression, anxiety, and more.

Joshua is also deeply committed to helping female clients who have experienced sexual assault or sex trafficking. His therapeutic approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and interpersonal principles, with the goal of helping clients understand the underlying causes of their emotions and behaviors. Licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services in Child Welfare, Joshua provides a safe and comfortable atmosphere for adults, teenagers, and adolescents to heal and grow.
